Philadelphia, PA ( - Henrik Stenson cruised to a 6-stroke win at the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai on Sunday, and that inched him closer to Adam Scott for second place in this week's world golf rankings.

That victory made Stenson the first person to win the Race to Dubai and FedExCup in the same season and cut his deficit from 1.17 average points to just 0.77 behind the Masters winner.

Scott also picked up a title over weekend as he defended his Talisker Masters crown in his native Australia.

Tiger Woods maintained his No. 1 ranking ahead of Scott and Stenson. They were again followed by Phil Mickelson and Justin Rose. Rory McIlroy and Matt Kuchar also held firm in sixth and seventh, while Steve Stricker and Brandt Snedeker swapped places to sit in eighth and ninth, respectively.

Jason Dufner stayed at 10th and Ian Poulter, who finished in second behind Stenson in Dubai, jumped four places to 11th.

That moved caused Graeme McDowell, Dustin Johnson, Zach Johnson and Jim Furyk all to drop a spot to sit 12th through 15th. Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald maintained their positions at Nos. 16 and 17.

Jason Day moved up a pair of slots to 18th, which dropped Sergio Garcia and Webb Simpson each a place to round out the top 20.

Harris English earned his second victory of 2013 at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba on Sunday and that vaulted him 14 places this week to 54th.
