Gold Coast, Australia (SportsNetwork.com) - Masters champion and hometown favorite Adam Scott shot 4-under-par 67 on Sunday to win the Australian PGA Championship by four strokes over Rickie Fowler.

Scott finished the event at 14-under-par 270 and earned his fourth PGA Tour of Australasia win.

"I sat here a few days ago letting you know that this is the one I wanted," said Scott. "It feels amazing to be able to kind of tick the boxes down here in Australia now."

Fowler carded a 68 to finish alone in second place at 10-under 274, Jack Wilson (68) took third at 8-under and Cameron Percy (68) placed fourth at minus-7. Michael Wright (71) rounded out the top-5 at 6-under.

Scott began the day with a two-stroke lead and overcame a weather delay at RACV Royal Pines Resort to win by a comfortable margin.

The Masters champ opened with seven straight pars before going birdie-bogey from the eighth. He then parred two in a row before taking command with an eagle-3 at the 12th. After a par at the 13th, Scott carded back-to-back birdies from the 14th, then parred out to seal the win.

"It's very memorable one for me here on the Gold Coast as well on my first event back this year," he said. "I think this is the icing on the cake for me."
