Yucatan, Mexico (Sports Network) - Jorge Fernandez-Valdes stumbled to a 1-over 73 on Sunday, but it was enough for him to win the Mundo Maya Open.

Fernandez-Valdes, who became the youngest-ever winner on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica, finished at 11-under-par 277 at Yucatan Country Club.

Armando Villarreal posted a 1-under 71 to take second place at minus-10. Manuel Villegas (72), Gunner Wiebe (68) and Jose de Jesus Rodriguez (70) shared third place at 9-under 279.

The 20-year-old Fernandez-Valdes had two birdies and a bogey on the front nine. He moved to 14-under with a birdie at the par-5 11th. He stumbled to three bogeys over the final seven holes to slide back to minus-11.

Villarreal was even-par for the day and 8-under for the tournament after 12 holes. He converted back-to-back birdie tries at 16 and 17 to get within one.
