Moscow, Russia (Sports Network) - Simon P. Brown closed with a 2-under 70 on Sunday and won the Russian Open Golf Championship (Senior) by two strokes.
Brown finished his first European Senior Tour title at 12-under-par 204.
The Englishman traded a birdie for a bogey from the second. He dropped in back-to-back birdie chances at six and seven to move to 12-under.
After six pars in a row, Brown faltered to a double bogey to slide to minus-10. He got one stroke back with a birdie at 15, but gave that right back with a bogey on No. 16.
Brown closed the tournament in style as he birdied the final two holes to claim the victory.
Carl Mason and Mike Harwood both closed with a 4-under 68s to share second place at minus-10.
Colin Montgomerie finished with a 1-under 71. He was joined in fourth place at 9-under 207 by Steen Tinning (72) and Miguel Angel Martin (72).
