Kings, Muzzin agree to 2-year deal

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Kings agreed to terms on a two-year contract with restricted free-agent defenseman Jake Muzzin on Friday.

Muzzin, 24, registered seven goals, nine assists and led all rookie blueliners with a plus-16 rating while playing in 45 games for the Kings last season. He also saw time in 17 of the Kings' 18 postseason contests, picking up three assists.

The Ontario native made his NHL debut with the Kings in 2010-11, earning an assist in 11 games. He spent the entire 2011-12 campaign in the American Hockey League.
