Recap: Arizona vs. Nashville

Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - James Neal scored the deciding goal 2:45 into overtime as the Nashville Predators ended a six-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Monday.

Paul Gaustad scored during regulation and Pekka Rinne made 27 saves for the Predators, who won for the first time since Feb. 24.

"It's all about how you respond and come back," said Neal. "Our next step is to move on to the next game and be even better."

Kyle Chipchura lit the lamp and Louis Domingue stopped 35-of-37 shots in his second NHL start for the Coyotes, who have lost 12 of their last 13 games.

"He played a heck of a game," Arizona head coach Dave Tippett said of Domingue. "In his two starts in the NHL, he's got three out of four points. He's played very well."

In the extra session, rookie defenseman Seth Jones kept the puck in at the blue line and fired the puck off a give-and-go with Cody Franson. Domingue made the initial save, but Neal wristed home the rebound for the win.

After a scoreless first, Gaustad put the Predators on the board 3:26 into the middle frame. Taylor Beck fanned on a shot at the left circle, but the puck slid to Gaustad, who spun around and wristed it past Domingue.

Arizona took advantage of Neal's double-minor high-sticking penalty 7:27 into the third as Chipchura redirected John Moore's slap pass over Rinne's glove for a tied game.

Nashville had two man advantages late in the third, but was unable to convert on either, sending the game to overtime.
