Recap: Tampa Bay vs. Minnesota

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Ben Bishop made 30 saves, including 12 in the third period to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.

Steven Stamkos and Alex Killorn scored for the Lightning, who were coming off back-to-back losses at the end of a 1-2 road trip.

"For most of the game we handled things great," said Killorn. "There was a little bump there in the second period, but we finished the game really strong."

Zach Parise scored for the Wild, who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Darcy Kuemper gave up both Tampa Bay goals and faced 28 shots in the loss.

"I thought for the most part we played a good game," said Minnesota head coach Mike Yeo. "However, you come in against a team like that and score one goal and expect to win."

Parise gave Minnesota a 1-0 lead 3:11 into the second period after a Tampa Bay turnover near the blue line. Parise and Thomas Vanek exchanged passes before the winger scored his seventh of the season on a one-timer.

Stamkos tied it with a wrist shot from the right circle on a power play at 13:42 of the second period -- his 14th of the season -- but Killorn gave the Lightning the lead for good 4:25 later.

He won a battle for the puck near the left boards and skated into the slot, where he deflected Anton Stralman's point shot past Kuemper for his sixth goal of the season.

The Wild were trying to win five in a row for the first time since a a five- game streak in February and March that bookended the Olympic break.
