Recap: Vancouver vs. Anaheim

Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Corey Perry and Jakob Silfverberg both scored in the shootout to lift the Anaheim Ducks to a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday.

Perry, the first participant of the shootout, came down the right side, drifted towards the slot and patiently lifted a shot over a sliding Eddie Lack. After Vancouver's first two shooters failed to score, Silfverberg's quick wrister over the glove of the Vancouver netminder sealed the win.

"We found a way to win and that's what we have been trying to do," said Perry.

Andrew Cogliano and Matt Belesky both lit the lamp, Ryan Getzlaf tallied a goal and an assist and Frederik Andersen made 25 saves and stopped both Canucks' players he faced in the shootout for the Ducks, who snapped a three- game skid.

Jannick Hansen and Radim Vrbata both scored and Bo Horvat registered his first NHL goal for the Canucks, who have dropped two of their last three.

"You have to give the team credit," Vancouver head coach Willie Desjardins said. "They came back, it's not that they didn't battle."

Lack made 23 saves in defeat.

Trailing 3-2 in the third period, Getzlaf tipped Sami Vatanen's blast from the right point and Belesky was there to backhand the puck into the back of the net for a tied game with 8:08 left to play.

In overtime, Daniel Sedin had a wide-open net to tap in the puck for the win, but he missed wide. The Ducks outshot the Canucks by a 5-0 margin, but Lack stopped each shot to force a shootout.

Silfverberg emerged from behind the net, skated into the slot and slid a pass to Cogliano, who calmly wristed a shot past Lack from the right side of the net 37 seconds into the game.

Getzlaf increased Anaheim's lead to 2-0 with a quick backhander over the glove of Lack at 13:10 of the first.

Vancouver seized the lead with a three unanswered goals in the second period.

Derek Dorsett drove to the left circle and dished a cross-ice feed to Horvat, whose wrister found twine 3:08 into second

Hansen's blast from the left circle tied the game at 11:18 and Vrbata's slipped a shot past Andersen for a 3-2 Canucks edge 30 seconds later.
