Recap: Chicago vs. Tampa Bay

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Patrick Kane scored the lone goal in the shootout to lift the Chicago Blackhawks over the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-2, on Tuesday.

Brad Richards and Marcus Kruger scored in regulation for the Blackhawks, who have won three of four. Corey Crawford made 25 saves and stopped Ryan Callahan, Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos in the shootout.

"If one of us was able to get one, we had a good chance to win or extend it," Kane said of the shootout. "When you have (Crawford) in the net, you are going to feel very confident."

Cedric Paquette and Kucherov lit the lamp for the Lightning, who had a six- game winning streak snapped. Ben Bishop stopped 37-of-39 shots.

"We showed that we are more than capable of playing with those guys, but if you want to get those two points, you have to play a little bit more than 30 minutes," Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said.

The Lightning took a 1-0 lead at 4:35 of the first period when Paquette finished a short-handed, 2-on-1 rush by scoring off a pass from Ondrej Palat.

Richards put Chicago on the board at 9:13 of the second, after teammate Kris Versteeg was checked into Bishop.

Kruger gave the Blackhawks the lead 1:18 into the third when he deflected Niklas Hjalmarsson's blast past Bishop.

Kucherov tied the game at the 9:53 mark. Following a Blackhawks turnover in their own zone, Kucherov scored off a feed through the crease by Stamkos.
