Recap: San Jose vs. Columbus

San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Mark Letestu deflected in David Savard's shot with 20.7 seconds remaining to lift the Columbus Blue Jackets over the San Jose Sharks, 5-4, on Thursday.

Nick Foligno's power-play goal with 8:20 to play in regulation tied the game at four. Letestu then deflected in Savard's shot from the right point to give Columbus the win.

"It's a great victory now but we can spoil it in 24 hours," said Letestu.

Ryan Johansen and Letestu each had two goals for the Blue Jackets, who improved to 4-2-0 on the young season. Foligno had one goal and two assists.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 33-of-37 shots in the victory.

Antti Niemi turned aside 23-of-28 shots.

"You give up five, you're not winning," said Sharks coach Todd McLellan. "Our defensive play right now is killing us."

Pavelski tipped in Couture's shot from the point for a power-play goal at 14:44 of the opening period.
