Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Vancouver Canucks announced that center Mike Santorelli underwent season-ending surgery Thursday to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder.

Santorelli suffered the injury during a game at Phoenix on Jan. 16 and has been out of action since.

"After consultation with our team physicians, we determined that Mike would require a procedure on his shoulder," said Canucks general manager Mike Gillis. The surgery was successful and we expect a full recovery."

The 28-year-old was in the midst of a solid season, his first with Vancouver after splitting the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign with Florida and Winnipeg. In 49 games with the Canucks, Santorelli recorded 10 goals and 18 assists along with a plus-nine rating.
