Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward B.J. Crombeen to a two-year contract extension, the club announced Monday.
Crombeen, in his first season with the Lightning, has posted seven points (one goal, six assists) and 86 penalty minutes in 30 games this year.
"(Crombeen) has proven to be a hard-nosed right winger and reliable penalty killer, as well as a very popular teammate of outstanding character," Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman said.
Tampa Bay acquired the 27-year-old in an offseason traded with the St. Louis Blues, with whom Crombeen had spent the previous three-plus seasons.
In 318 career NHL games with the Lightning, Blues and Dallas Stars, Crombeen has totaled 28 goals, 63 points and 666 penalty minutes.
