The 34-year-old played in 33 games with the Sharks and Nashville Predators last season, posting one assist and 22 penalty minutes.

Hannan, who spent his first eight NHL seasons with San Jose, was re-acquired by the club on April 3 and appeared in four games with the team, including all 11 postseason contests.

Over 941 career games with San Jose, Colorado, Washington, Calgary and Nashville, the former 1997 first-round draft choice has recorded 33 goals and 165 assists.
