Red Wings lose DeKeyser to broken thumb

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser is expected to miss the remainder of the playoffs after suffering a broken thumb during Game 2 of the team's first-round series against Anaheim on Thursday.

Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said after the contest that DeKeyser "is done."

DeKeyser joined the Red Wings after finishing his junior season at Western Michigan University earlier this spring. He played in 11 games during the regular season and notched one assist with a plus-4 rating.
