New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Giants have apparently brought back a familiar face, reportedly agreeing to a deal with wide receiver Mario Manningham.
According to the New York Daily News, Manningham has agreed to a one-year contract.
Manningham spent his first four NFL seasons with the Giants and played for San Francisco the last two years. He battled knee injuries during each of his two years with the 49ers, and last season managed just nine receptions for 85 yards in six games.
The 27-year-old Michigan product suffered a torn ACL in 2012 and finished the season with 42 catches for 449 yards and one score in 12 games with the Niners.
Manningham has 211 receptions for 2,849 yards and 19 touchdowns in six years. His best season was 2010 when he hauled in 60 passes for 944 yards with nine scores.
