Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed punter Donnie Jones and released safety Patrick Chung.
The team announced the moves Tuesday as NFL free agency opened.
In his first season with the Eagles, Jones, 33, set franchise records with a 40.5 net punting average and 33 punts downed inside the 20-yard line. He was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for back-to-back games.
Chung, 26, appeared in 12 games in his only season with the Eagles after four in New England. He started 10 games and had 59 tackles.
