Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Vikings activated safety Harrison Smith from short-term injured reserve Saturday and placed cornerback Josh Robinson on IR.

Smith had 34 tackles and two interceptions in five games before he was placed on the injured reserve-designated for return list on Oct. 18.

Robinson had 48 tackles in 10 games before he suffered a fractured sternum in Minnesota's loss to the Seahawks on Nov. 17.

The Vikings waived tackle Mike Remmers and signed running back Joe Banyard and cornerback Robert Steeples to the active roster from the practice squad. They host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
