Recap: Portland vs. Golden State
Portland, OR (Sports Network) - David Lee poured in a game-high 24 points to go with eight rebounds, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 101-97 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in a preseason game at the Rose Garden.
Klay Thompson netted 19 points and Carl Landry came off the bench to post 18 points and six rebounds for the Warriors. Brandon Rush contributed 16 points and Jarrett Jack scored nine points and registered a game-high nine assists.
LaMarcus Aldridge led the Trail Blazers with 18 points, while Nicolas Batum scored 15. Damian Lillard also scored 15 points and dished out a team-high seven assists, and Wesley Matthews hit all eight of his free throws on the way to a 14-point night for Portland.
Down 96-92 with just over a minute to play, the Trail Blazers' Sasha Pavlovic hit a 3-point shot from the top of the key to make it a one-point game. However, Thompson hit three free throws and Jack hit a running layup in the final minute of play, helping the Warriors hold off Portland down the stretch.Game Notes
