Recap: Charlotte vs. Toronto
Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Byron Mullens scored 25 points and Gerald Henderson added 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 107-101 win over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
Josh McRoberts had 12 points and 12 rebounds and Kemba Walker added 14 points, seven rebounds and eight assists for the Bobcats, who have won back-to-back games for the first time since November.
"It feels good to get this streak," said Mullens. "Hopefully we can keep this feeling and put together a little run here late in the season."
Ben Gordon scored 16 points off the bench in the triumph.
Rudy Gay scored 25 points, DeMar DeRozan had 19 and Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas finished with 18 points apiece for the Raptors, losers in three of their last four games.
Toronto held a 26-22 lead after the first quarter, but Charlotte outscored the Raptors 31-22 in the second to take a 53-48 lead into the break.
"In the first quarter we had a good tempo, but they took the game to us from there," said Lowry.
The Raptors opened the second half with a 14-7 run to go up 62-60, but the Bobcats countered with an 11-2 surge to go up 71-64 with 2:50 left, but scored just three points the rest of the quarter to go into the final frame with a 74-71 advantage.
Charlotte pushed it lead to six several times in the fourth, but a pair of Valanciunas free throws made it a one-point game with 3:18 to go. The Bobcats took a 101-95 lead following a McRoberts layup, but Toronto made it 103-101 following a pair of Amir Johnson's free throws with 12.1 seconds left, but failed to score the rest of the way.Game Notes
