El Segundo, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is expected to be sidelined for at least another three weeks as he continues to recover from a left knee injury.
Bryant suffered a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in December and was examined again Tuesday. He still has pain and swelling in the knee and will be examined again in about three weeks.
The Lakers said Bryant will continue with a program of non-weight bearing exercise, consisting mostly of working out on a stationary bike.
Bryant has played just six games this season as he missed the first month of the campaign while recovering from a torn Achilles. He averaged 13.8 points with 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds during his brief time on the court.
