Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira left Friday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays in the second inning due to a strained right hamstring.

Teixeira suffered the injury while fielding a bouncing foul ball and left the field before being replaced by Kelly Johnson, who moved over from his spot at third.

Brian Roberts was inserted into the game at second base, and Yangervis Solarte shifted from second to third.

Prior to leaving the game, Teixeira singled in a run in the first inning.
