Denver, CO ( - The Colorado Rockies have activated pitcher Brett Anderson from the 60-day disabled list to start Sunday's series finale against the Minnesota Twins.

It will be the first major league appearance for the oft-injured Anderson since April 12. The left-hander made three starts for the Rockies prior to fracturing his left index finger in an outing at San Francisco.

Anderson, acquired by Colorado in an offseason trade with Oakland, returned to the mound earlier this month in a rehab assignment with Colorado Springs. The 26-year-old allowed just one run over 9 1/3 innings in two starts with the Sky Sox.

First baseman/outfielder Kyle Parker was optioned to Colorado Springs in a corresponding move, with pitcher Jordan Lyles transferred to the 60-day DL to clear a spot for Anderson on the 40-man roster.

Lyles is expected to be sidelined into August with a broken left hand he sustained in early June.
