Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed pitcher Chad Billingsley on the 15-day disabled list because of right elbow pain.

The move is retroactive to April 16, the day after Billingsley's last start.

Billingsley, who was slated to start Sunday against Baltimore, is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two outings this season.

The Dodgers recalled pitcher Stephen Fife from Triple-A Albuquerque to make the start Sunday. Fife was 0-2 with a 2.70 ERA in five starts for the Dodgers last year.

In three starts at Albuquerque this season, the 26-year-old right-hander was 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA and had 14 strikeouts in 13 2/3 innings.
