The 31-year-old collected six hits in his last 13 at-bats to raise his average to .202.

In addition, outfielder J.B. Shuck was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake, the contract of infielder C.J. Cron was selected from Salt Lake, infielder Luis Jimenez was recalled from Salt Lake and pitcher Yoslan Herrera was sent outright to Triple-A.
