Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians have placed catcher Lou Marson on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.

The move is retroactive to April 25, one day after he returned from a previous DL stint with a cervical strain.

The Indians also recalled catcher Yan Gomes and pitcher Scott Barnes from Triple-A Columbus in advance of Sunday's double-header in Kansas City.

Gomes hit .211 in six games with the Indians between April 9-21 while Marson was initially sidelined.

Barnes made his major league debut last year with the Indians, compiling a 4.26 ERA in 16 relief appearances.
