Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Atlanta Braves outfielder Justin Upton left Thursday's game against the Cleveland Indians with an apparent hand injury.

Upton was hit on his left hand by a pitch from Ubaldo Jiminez in the fifth inning.

It appeared than Upton would remain in the game, but after speaking with the Braves training staff he left the field and headed to the clubhouse. X-rays on the hand were negative and the club is calling the injury a left hand contusion.

He was 2-for-2 with a run scored.
