Recap: Utah State vs. San Jose St
Logan, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Kent Myers accounted for four touchdowns as the Utah State Aggies ran over the San Jose State Spartans, 41-7, in a Mountain West Conference clash at Romney Stadium.
Myers completed 14-of-21 pass attempts for 105 yards and a score, while adding 92 yards and three touchdowns on the ground for Utah State (9-3, 6-1 MWC), which has won five straight. JoJo Natson picked up 124 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
Tyler Ervin tallied 104 yards on 22 carries for San Jose State (3-8, 2-5), which has lost five straight. Mitch Ravizza threw for only 61 yards, but he did manage 64 yards and a score on the ground.
Myers escaped for a 28-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter, but the rest of the frame was quiet.
Ravizza evened the score with a one-yard touchdown run just over two minutes into the second period.
Myers' second touchdown of the contest came with 6:15 to play in the first half, as he broke off a 60-yard scoring run.
Natson increased the Aggies' lead with a 56-yard touchdown run within the first minute of the second half.
Myers got into the end zone for a third time near the end of the third quarter, as he scored on a two-yard run.
A one-yard touchdown pass from Myers to Jefferson Court in the early stages of the fourth quarter kept the Aggies rolling.
They finished off the victory with a four-yard touchdown run from Rashad Hall.
Led by Natson, the Aggies had 313 yards rushing. San Jose State had 252 total yards.Game Notes
