Bowling Green, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Doughty threw for 346 yards and five touchdowns, as Western Kentucky cruised to a 45-7 win over the Texas- San Antonio Roadrunners in a Conference USA matchup at Smith Stadium.

The victory was the third straight and fourth in the last five games for the Hilltoppers (6-5, 3-4 C-USA), who are now bowl eligible for the fourth straight season. Jared Dangerfield was on the receiving end of two of Doughty's touchdowns, while teammate Willie McNeal finished with a game-high seven catches for 105 yards and a score.

The Roadrunners (3-8, 2-5) were held to only 12 first downs and 234 yards of total offense for the game, compared to 25 first downs and 466 yards for the Hilltoppers.

WKU reached the end zone on the game's fifth play from scrimmage, as Doughty found Leon Allen for a 54-yard touchdown pass.

Taywan Taylor hauled in a 47-yard TD pass from Doughty at the 4:22 mark of the opening frame to make it a 14-0 game.

Doughty took another big shot at the 4:33 mark of the second quarter when he hooked up with McNeal for a 67-yard scoring strike.

Following a big stop by the Hilltoppers defense on 4th-and-1 from their own 29, Doughty tossed his fourth TD of the day to Dangerfield on a 13-yard pitch and catch with just over a minute to play in the half.

Those two hooked up again for a 16-yard scoring strike midway through the third quarter to stretch the Hilltoppers' lead to 35-0.

WKU padded its lead in the fourth quarter with a 34-yard field goal from Garrett Schwettman and a two-yard touchdown run by Demetrius Coley.

UTSA avoided the shutout thanks to a 47-yard TD pass from Dalton Sturm to Kerry Thomas, Jr. with 8:49 to play in regulation.

UTSA never ventured inside the red zone, while WKU scored on all four of its trips inside the 20, including three touchdowns.
