Recap: Oregon vs. Washington

Eugene, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Freshman Royce Freeman had four rushing touchdowns, and Marcus Mariota passed for a pair of scores, as ninth-ranked Oregon rolled to a 45-20 win over Washington.

Freeman carried the ball 29 times for 169 yards, while Mariota connected on 24-of-33 throws for 336 yards. Dwayne Stanford and Byron Marshall had receiving scores for the Ducks (6-1, 3-1 Pac-12), who posted their second straight win since falling to Arizona on Oct. 2.

"It was a great feeling out there and it's just getting better every week," Freeman said. "Washington has a great defense, hard hitting, but I feel like we did pretty well out there."

Cyler Miles went 19-of-28 for 147 yards through the air with a TD and an interception for the Huskies (5-2, 1-2), who were coming off a 31-7 win at California last week.

"Back to the drawing board. It seems like it's two steps forward, one step back here," Washington coach Chris Petersen said.

Oregon beat Washington for the 11th straight time.

Cameron Van Winkle's 40-yard field goal had the Huskies within 7-6 with 6:21 left in the opening quarter, but the Ducks took control after scoring on a pair of mammoth drives.

Freeman capped a 17-play, 81-yard march that took nearly 6 1/2 minutes off the clock with a 3-yard run on a fourth down play six seconds into the second quarter.

Freeman's 1-yard rushing score culminated a 12-play, 99-yard drive later in the second for a 21-6 cushion. Mariota hit Pharaoh Brown for a 66-yard gain to the Washington 11 to set up the score.

Matt Wogan was wide left on a 33-yard field goal try for the Ducks with 2:36 left in the half, but Erick Dargan picked off Miles and set up Oregon at the Washington 23. Two plays later, Mariota found Marshall for a 23-yard score.

Stanford caught a 16-yard TD pass in the third quarter before Miles found Deontae Cooper for a 3-yard TD later in the period for a 35-13 margin.

Freeman scored on a 3-yard run in the fourth and Wogan kicked a 26-yard field goal.

Washington's lone score of the fourth came on a Troy Williams 7-yard run.

Van Winkle kicked a 33-yard field goal 4:40 into the game before Freeman scored on a 37-yard run less than two minutes later for a 7-3 Oregon edge.
