Recap: Iowa vs. Nebraska

Iowa City, IA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kenny Bell's 9-yard TD catch in overtime lifted the Nebraska Cornhuskers over the Iowa Hawkeyes, 37-34, in the regular season finale for both teams.

Nebraska kicker Drew Brown made a game-tying field goal, a 20-yard kick with eight seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Iowa got the ball to start overtime and settled for a 25-yard Marshall Koehn field goal.

The Cornhuskers scored four plays later to win the game. Bell caught a 12-yard pass on 3rd-and-6 to move the chains, then kept his feet inbounds for the game-winning touchdown.

Tommy Armstrong Jr. completed 12-of-27 passes for 202 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions for the Cornhuskers (9-3, 5-3 Big Ten), who snapped a two-game skid.

Ameer Abdullah carried the ball 13 times for 106 yards and caught two passes for 13 yards and a score. Bell hauled in three passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns.

Jake Rudock connected on 19-of-38 passes for 230 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for the Hawkeyes (7-5, 4-4), who closed the regular season with back-to-back home losses.

Mark Weisman carried the ball 24 times for 82 yards and Tevaun Smith caught four passes for 71 yards and a score.

Trailing 24-7, Nebraska scored 21 unanswered points to take the lead. De'Mornay Pierson-El's 80-yard punt return for a touchdown put Nebraska ahead 28-24 with 12:06 left in the fourth.

After each team was forced to punt, Iowa took over at its own 47 with 7:06 left. Weisman picked up a 4th-and-1 and ran the ball over the next five plays, setting up a 3rd-and-goal from the Nebraska 5. Rudock found Jordan Canzeri open in the flat for an easy touchdown and a 31-28 lead.

The Cornhuskers were able to move the ball to the Iowa 3-yard line before settling for Brown's game-tying field goal.

Nebraska tied the school record for the largest road comeback.
