Blacksburg, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller is expected to be out 4-to-6 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair what the school announced via Twitter was a "core muscle" injury.

Tuesday's procedure was performed in Philadelphia.

Fuller has missed two of the previous three games with the ailment.

There is a possibility Fuller could be back in time to play in a bowl game.

Fuller has totaled 24 tackles and two interceptions this season.
