Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - The Ohio State Buckeyes have reportedly dismissed running back Carlos Hyde from the team.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that Hyde was named as a person of interest in a weekend assault against a female at a bar in Columbus.

Hyde, the Buckeyes' projected No. 1 running back, rushed for 970 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2012.

According to the report, Hyde may not be the only Buckeye in trouble at the moment. The school is still looking into a situation regarding starting cornerback Bradley Roby.

The paper, which cites court records, states that Roby was arrested early Sunday morning in Indiana and is facing preliminary charges of battery resulting in bodily injury.
