Tallahassee, FL ( - Florida State star quarterback Jameis Winston is reportedly under investigation for a sexual assault that occurred in a Tallahassee apartment in December of 2012.

According to multiple media outlets, including the Miami Herald, Winston is accused of using physical force to assault an individual older than the age of 18 on Dec. 7, 2012.

No charges have been filed and Winston has never been interviewed by police on the matter.

The police report from that night states the alleged perpetrator was between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11. Winston is listed at 6-foot-4.

Florida State released a statement Wednesday confirming the school is aware of the ongoing investigation by the Tallahassee Police Department, but that there would be no change in Winston's playing status.

Winston, a freshman, has thrown for 2,661 yards, 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions for the second-ranked Seminoles, who will put their 9-0 mark on the line Saturday when they host Syracuse.
