Tucson, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Arizona running back Ka'Deem Carey announced Monday that he will forego his senior season and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.

Carey, who led the nation with 1,929 rushing yards in 2012, was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year this past season after rushing for 1,885 yards, 19 touchdowns and an average of 157.1 yards per game.

He also added 26 receptions for 173 yards and a touchdown this past season.

"I'm excited for the next phase of my career to enter the NFL Draft," Carey said in a statement. "I want to thank God, my family, Coach (Rich) Rodriguez, Coach (Calvin) Magee and all of my coaches for everything they have done for me. My time playing football for Arizona will always be very special to me and I want to thank the fans and the Tucson community for supporting me throughout my career."

Carey is Arizona's all-time leading rusher with 4,239 yards, which ranks seventh in Pac-12 history. He leaves Tucson with a streak of 16 consecutive games with at least 100 yards, the longest active streak in FBS.
