Bader shot 7-of-18 from 3-point range for Oakland (13-19), which will play third-seeded Wright State in Friday's second round. Bader also set a program record for most made free throws in a game without a miss, going 18-of-18.

Corey Petros added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Grizzlies, Duke Mondy scored 16, Dante Williams netted 12 off the bench and Kahlil Felder handed out 11 assists.

For YSU (15-17), Kendrick Perry matched a career high with 35 points, shooting 12-of-23 from the field and 9-of-11 at the free-throw line. Perry dished out seven assists, Ryan Weber poured in 22 points, Kamren Belin tallied 11 points and eight rebounds and Bobby Hain hauled in 10 boards.

Oakland shot just 36 percent from the field in the first half, but YSU was even worse at 29.2 percent, as the Grizzlies held a 29-25 lead at intermission.

The Penguins appeared to take control in the second stanza, as they took a 10- point lead with 3:10 to play following a pair of Weber free throws, but they came unraveled down the stretch. The Grizzlies ended regulation on a 16-6 run capped off by a pair of Bader free throws with one second left to send the game to overtime.

YSU had a four-point lead in the extra session, but Oakland came storming back once again with a 7-0 run, with a layup by Tommie McCune with 1:09 remaining proving to be the game-winner.

Oakland won the turnover battle, 12-6, and outscored YSU from 3-point range, 39-24.
