Recap: Clemson vs. Davidson

Charleston, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - K.J. McDaniels scored a game-high 22 points, shooting 8-of-9 from the floor, as the Clemson Tigers ripped through Davidson, 85-54, as part of the Charleston Classic at TD Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Tigers (5-0) were Damarcus Harrison and Rod Hall with 20 and 10 points, respectively.

The Wildcats (1-4) were paced by Chris Czerapowicz who dropped in 14 points, while De'Mon Brooks delivered 12 as both players shot 6-of-11 from the floor in the setback.

Clemson knocked down an impressive 60.7 percent from the floor in the first half, including 5-of-9 behind the 3-point line, as the Tigers moved out to a 43-33 lead at the break. Davidson sank only 1-of-5 at the free-throw line through the first 20 minutes.

The second half saw Clemson again shoot the ball very well from the field (.615) and beyond the arc (5-of-10) in order to pull away for the comfortable victory.

The Wildcats lost the battle of the boards, 36-23, and shot a miserable 2- of-11 at the charity stripe.
