The Broncs started strong, shooting 60.9 percent from the field in the opening half, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range. The Purple Eagles made 43.3 percent from the floor and 11-of-12 at the line, but trailed 44-41 at halftime.
In the second half, the Eagles struggled to find their offense, shooting 37.5 percent from the floor, including a mere 1-of-12 from the perimeter, and they could only sink 6-of-14 at the line. At the other end, a 50 percent field goal percentage was plenty enough for the Broncs to pull away for the decisive win.
Perimeter shooting proved key in the Rider victory, as it hit 10-of-20 from beyond the arc, with its opponent making just 5-of-20. The Broncs also helped their cause at the charity stripe, where they sank 28-of-34.Game Notes
