Recap: Furman vs. Wofford
Greenville, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Karl Cochran eclipsed the 20-point mark for the third straight game, as he scored a game-high 22 to lead the Wofford Terriers to a 76-52 win over the Furman Paladins in a Southern Conference contest at Timmons Arena.
Spencer Collins chipped in with 20 points and Eric Garcia scored 10 to help the Terriers (10-10, 5-3 SoCon) win their third straight.
Stephen Croone led the Paladins (7-13, 1-6) with 15 points. Charlie Reddick added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Kendrec Ferrara rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points in the loss.
Furman shot a healthy 50 percent from the floor in the first half and knocked down 5-of-6 3-pointers. However, the Terriers put together a 15-1 spurt to turn a four-point deficit into a 10-point lead, and they eventually went into the locker room with a 37-29 advantage.
Wofford expanded its lead by shooting at a 55.6-percent clip in the second stanza, while Furman failed to register a field goal over the final six and a half minutes of regulation.
The Terriers committed only nine turnovers for the game and were an efficient 7-of-15 (.467) from beyond the arc.Game Notes
