Recap: Ohio vs. Toledo

Athens, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Maurice Ndour scored 28 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the Ohio University Bobcats survived in overtime against Toledo, 95-90, in Mid-American Conference play at the Convocation Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Bobcats (16-5, 6-2 MAC), as they posted their third straight win and the fifth in the last six outings, were Stevie Taylor and Nick Kellogg with 23 and 19 points, respectively, the latter also handing out nine assists.

Toledo (18-3, 6-2) was paced by Julius Brown with 28 points and seven assists, followed by J.D. Weatherspoon with 16 points and eight boards as the team had a six-game win streak snapped. Jonathan Williams chipped in 14 points off the bench, converting all four of his 3-point tries, while Justin Drummond tacked on 12 points before fouling out.

Ohio shot 57.6 percent from the field in the first half, hitting on 5-of-13 from 3-point range, allowing the host to take a 45-40 advantage into intermission.

In the second half the Bobcats dipped to 44.4 percent from the floor and watched a double-digit advantage from the first half turn into an 11-point lead for Toledo with just under nine minutes remaining in regulation.

However, Ohio did lead 83-78 with less than a minute to play before Matt Smith drilled a 3-pointer for the Rockets and Brown locked the score at 83-83 with 15 seconds to play before the meeting headed to overtime.

The Bobcats closed the extra session on a 6-0 run, thanks to a couple of baskets by Taylor.

In a game that featured 12 ties and 16 lead changes, Ohio finished with 53.7 percent accuracy from the floor.
