Recap: Weber State vs. Sacramento St
Ogden, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Davion Berry tallied 20 points, 11 assists and six rebounds to lead the Weber State Wildcats past the Sacramento State Hornets, 79-67, in a Big Sky Conference bout at the Dee Events Center.
Joel Bolomboy also had a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds for Weber State (16-9, 13-4 Big Sky), which has won back-to-back games. Kyle Tresnak shot 8-of-9 from the field for 18 points, while Jeremy Senglin scored 13 for the hosts.
For Sacramento State (13-13, 9-8), which had won its previous three games, Mikh McKinney poured in 21 points and handed out nine assists, while Eric Stuteville came off the bench to register 18 points and eight boards.
Sacramento State shot a solid 46.4 percent from the field in the first half, but it couldn't keep pace with Weber State's 58.3 percent showing, as the Wildcats carried a 41-34 lead into intermission.
The Wildcats continued their hot shooting in the second half, making 52.2 percent of their field goal tries over the final 20 minutes as they cruised to the 12-point victory.
Weber State, which never trailed in the game, shot 20-of-28 from the free- throw line. Sacramento State, meanwhile, was just 9-of-13 at the stripe.Game Notes
