Recap: Richmond vs. Saint Josephs
Richmond, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kendall Anthony scored 19 points with four assists as the Richmond Spiders routed the Saint Joseph's Hawks 77-62 in an Atlantic 10 Conference tilt at the Robins Center.
Cedrick Lindsay registered 16 points while Trey Davis logged a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards for the Spiders (14-6, 4-1 A-10), who have won four straight contests. Deion Taylor and Terry Allen had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Halil Kanacevic had a double-double with 21 points and a career-high 19 rebounds as the Hawks (13-6, 3-2) had a four-game winning streak snapped. Langston Galloway finished with 13 points, DeAndre Bembry added 11 and Chris Wilson chipped in 10 points.
Richmond made 42.3 percent of its first half field goal attempts, including 7- of-14 from 3-point range, as it led 35-28 at the half. SJU connected on just 38.7 percent of its shots from the field in the period.
The Spiders got hot in the second period, converting 54.5 percent of their field goal tries. The home team was able to cruise to victory as they led by no less than eight in the entire second stanza.
Despite losing, the Hawks played better inside by outscoring Richmond 38-22 in the paint.Game Notes
