Recap: Bowling Green vs. Buffalo
Bowling Green, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Richaun Holmes registered a double- double with 16 points and 10 rebounds as the Bowling Green Falcons pulled out a 74-68 win over the Buffalo Bulls in Mid-American Conference action at the Stroh Center.
Holmes also blocked five shots for the Falcons (10-11, 4-4 MAC) as they snapped a two-game slide. Spencer Parker produced a game-high 23 points, while Jehvon Clarke nearly delivered a triple-double as he tallied 11 points, 10 boards and nine assists in the triumph.
The Bulls (11-7, 5-3) were led by Will Regan and Joshua Freelove with 17 and 16 points, respectively, while Javon McCrea recorded a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 11 boards as the team had a two-game win streak snapped.
Buffalo led by as many as 10 in the first half, shooting 6-of-13 behind the 3- point line, but the squad also made just 9-of-17 at the free-throw line which left the team with only a 37-35 advantage at the break.
In the second half the Bulls dipped all the way down to just 31.3 percent from the floor, 2-of-13 on the perimeter, opening the door for BGSU to complete the comeback bid.
The Falcons captured the win despite shooting only 3-of-12 behind the 3-point line on the afternoon.Game Notes
