Recap: Ball State vs. Bowling Green

Muncie, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Behind Spencer Parker's game-high 22 points, the Bowling Green Falcons held off the Ball State Cardinals, 66-64, in a Mid- American Conference bout at Worthen Arena.

Parker shot 9-of-14 from the field and 4-of-5 at the foul line for BGSU (11-14, 5-7 MAC), which snapped a three-game losing streak. Richaun Holmes tallied a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, Jehvon Clarke logged 11 points and seven assists and Cameron Black contributed eight points and 12 rebounds.

For Ball State (4-19, 1-11), losers of seven in a row, Jesse Berry scored 20 points on 6-of-9 from 3-point range, Chris Bond and Franko House each scored 13 points and Majok Majok registered nine points and 15 boards.

BGSU outshot Ball State from the field in the first half, 47.2 percent to 33.3 percent, as it went into intermission with a 36-32 lead.

The Cardinals turned things around in the second stanza, and following an 11-3 run, they held a 55-50 lead with under seven minutes to play. They continued to lead in the final minute before Anthony Henderson connected on the game- winning layup for the Falcons with 44 seconds left. After BGSU had a 1-of-2 trip to the foul line with four seconds to play, Ball State had one last opportunity but Zavier Turner's jumper at the buzzer did not fall.

Ball State committed 16 turnovers, which BGSU converted into 18 points.
