Recap: TX-San Antonio vs. North Texas

San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Williams netted 14 points to lift the North Texas Mean Green to a 71-62 decision over the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners in a Conference USA matchup at the Convocation Center.

Brandon Walton added 13 points and seven rebounds for UNT (15-13, 6-8 C-USA), while T.J. Taylor chimed in with 10 points.

Edrico McGregor and Keon Lewis scored 13 points each for the Roadrunners (8-19, 4-10). Devon Agusi tallied 12 points, nine boards and five assists as UTSA suffered its third consecutive setback.

The Roadrunners led by as many as 10 in the opening period before taking a 32-24 lead into the intermission. UTSA connected on 48.1 percent of its field goal attempts and limited the visitors to 34.8 percent efficiency from the floor in the opening stanza.

The Mean Green surged back after the break by knocking down 53.3 percent of their field goal tries and converting 12-of-19 shots at the charity stripe. UTSA was limited to seven less shots from the floor and went 2-of-9 from beyond the arc in the second half.

UNT enjoyed a 35-32 edge in the rebounding battle and scored 11 points off of the Roadrunners' 11 turnovers.
