Recap: Texas State vs. South Dakota

San Marcos, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Bos posted a double-double as the South Dakota Coyotes held on for a 57-56 victory over the Texas State Bobcats in non-conference action at Strahan Coliseum.

Bos finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds as the only player in double figures for South Dakota (1-3).

Wes Davis netted 19 points, Joel Wright hung up a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds and Emani Gant tallied 12 rebounds for Texas State (0-5).

The Bobcats hit only 37.1 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half, but it was enough to take a 35-24 lead into halftime as the Coyotes shot at a 35.5 percent rate from the field.

South Dakota improved to 39.3 percent shooting from the field, including a 4- of-8 effort from beyond the arc, to come storming back and collect the one- point victory.

Texas State lost despite having the edge on the boards, 46-36.
