Recap: Ark-Little Rock vs. Troy
Little Rock, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeff Mullahey and Tevin Calhoun each scored 17 points to lead the Troy Trojans to a 75-62 triumph over the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in a Sun Belt Conference joust at the Jack Stephens Center.
Mullahey also had nine rebounds and JC Bonny chipped in 11 points off the bench for Troy (7-9, 2-2 Sun Belt), which has won back-to-back games. Wes Hinton tacked on 10 points.
Will Neighbour managed 13 points on just 6-of-15 shooting before fouling out for UALR (8-8, 3-1), which had a four-game winning streak snapped. James White added 12 points and Kemy Osse contributed 10 as a reserve.
Troy grabbed a 35-28 lead at the break by shooting 40.7 percent from the floor, including a 5-of-11 performance from beyond the arc. UALR hit on 43.3 percent from the field but had just two 3-pointers and was outscored 8-0 from the free-throw line.
The visitors cooled to 34.6 percent shooting in the second half, but they once again held scoring advantage from beyond the arc (15-6) and at the free-throw line (17-8) to secure the victory.
