Recap: Harvard vs. Penn
Cambridge, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Laurent Rivard scored 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting as the Harvard Crimson dismantled the Penn Quakers, 80-50, in an Ivy League clash at Lavietes Pavilion.
Kyle Casey registered a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards, and Zena Edosomwan added 10 points for the Crimson (17-3, 4-0 Ivy), who won their third consecutive contest. Wesley Saunders tallied eight assists.
Tony Hicks had 14 points for the Quakers (4-13, 1-2) as they lost their third game out of their last four. Miles Cartwright and Darien Nelson-Henry each had 10 points.
Harvard made 57.1 percent of its field goal attempts in the first period while making 16-of-19 from the free-throw line, as they led 44-23 at the break. Penn made just 37 percent of its shots from the floor and turned the ball over seven times.
The Crimson made just nine shots from the field in the second frame, but eight of them were from 3-point range. Harvard cruised the entire half, never being in any danger of losing the lead, leading by as many as 32 points.
Harvard won the rebounding battle by holding a 35-22 advantage on the glass.Game Notes
