Recap: Indiana vs. Samford

Bloomington, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Indiana Hoosiers were able to secure an easy 105-59 victory over the Samford Bulldogs at Assembly Hall thanks to Yogi Ferrell's 26 points.

The Hoosiers (3-0) won their third straight game Friday in dominating fashion. Ferrell went 8-of-11 from the field including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Noah Vonleh had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Troy Williams and Evan Gordon each chipped in 10 points as well.

Tyler Hood paced the Bulldogs (1-2) with 15 points. Isaiah Williams, Raijon Kelly, and Tim Williams each had 10 points.

Indiana took a 54-25 lead into the half. The Hoosiers were well in control from the very beginning and helped by their 51.4 shooting percentage in the half. Samford shot a meager 25.7 percent from the field and 2-of-12 from 3-point range in the first 20 minutes.

Both teams shot better in the second half but this did not mean much in terms of the score as Indiana cruised to victory. The home team shot 64.3 percent from the field and went 4-of-7 from 3-point range. Samford managed to improve, though only slightly, to 34.4 percent from the field and 5-of-13 from beyond the arc.

Indiana enjoyed a 53-32 rebounding advantage over Samford. The Hoosiers also had a 20-10 advantage in second chance points.
