Recap: Tennessee vs. Georgia

Knoxville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarnell Stokes logged a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds to lift the Tennessee Volunteers to a 67-48 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs in a SEC battle at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Antonio Barton added 12 points on 4-of-7 from 3-point range for Tennessee (16-10, 7-6 SEC), which had lost three of its previous four. Jordan McRae tacked on 11 points and Josh Richardson finished with 10.

Kenny Gaines netted 13 points and J.J. Frazier tallied 12 off the bench for Georgia (14-11, 8-5), which had a four-game winning streak snapped.

Tennessee shot at a 42.4 percent clip in the first half, which was a shade better than the 42.3 percent performance from Georgia. The Volunteers forced eight turnovers and had a 19-15 edge on the boards in the period, earning themselves seven more field goal attempts than the Bulldogs.

In the second half Tennessee pulled away, shooting 55 percent from the floor, while holding Georgia to six field goals.

The Volunteers outscored Georgia in the paint, 34-18, and earned a 37-30 edge on the boards.
