Recap: Georgia vs. LSU
Athens, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Nemanja Djurisic scored 17 points as the Georgia Bulldogs routed the LSU Tigers, 91-78, in an SEC tilt at Stegeman Coliseum.
Charles Mann had 16 points and four assists with six turnovers for the Bulldogs (11-10, 5-4 SEC), who snapped a three-game losing skid. Marcus Thornton registered a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Brandon Morris chipped in 11 points.
Jordan Mickey and Andre Stringer each had 19 points, with Mickey clearing eight boards for the Tigers (14-7, 5-4), who had won their two previous games. Jarell Martin added 15 points.
Georgia was hot in the first period and shot 56 percent from the floor, taking a 43-30 lead at the half. LSU made just 34.8 percent of its field goal attempts.
The Bulldogs drained 65 percent of their field goal tries in the second frame as they cruised to an easy win. Georgia went on a 14-7 run to close out the game and hold off the Tigers.
Georgia dominated inside by outscoring LSU 44-30 in the paint. The Bulldogs more than doubled up the Tigers from the free-throw line as well, 32-15.Game Notes
